Window Dormer Loft Conversion

Dormer conversions are created by making an opening in the existing roof section and adding a new ‘box like’ structure that spans the property and sits on the slope line, normally at the rear of the property with Velux windows positioned in the front. It also has an option to add French doors, Juliet balcony or terrace depending on the size. The advantage of this dormer is added extra space, head height and natural light in the loft area, because it dramatically increases the potential of the newly created space. It can be used for a new bedroom, playroom for your children or even an en suite bedroom, depending on the size of the space.

Skylight Loft Conversion

The skylight loft conversion design provides more natural light to existing loft space with minimal construction work. Installed roof lights can usually be placed on the front and rear roof slope. Such loft conversions are the simplest and most inexpensive for homeowners. The process is quicker for such type of conversions as there are not many internal and external changes.

Mansard Loft Conversion – Butterfly roof

A London roof, sometimes called a Butterfly roof, is an inverted pitched roof, slopping up and out from the centre of the house. These types of roofs are common in London, hence the name, and are typical for mid-Victorian homes. The design of the existing roof often provides very little internal loft space, so in order to make the most of the property, we usually install a completely new floor and add a double mansard, front and rear. In order to achieve it, we remove an existing roof, construct a new floor above your existing one and build up the walls on each side with nice brickwork. This conversion provides an entire new floor to the property. The finished look is similar to a townhouse’s. This type of conversion maximizes space, therefore homeowners can use it for bedrooms, studios, rental flats or living room space.
